MPA is in the process of opening a new office in Butte! Here is a message from our new organizer, Michaelynn Hawk: Hi! I am Michaelynn Hawk, the new organizer for MPA. I am an enrolled Crow member originally from Lodge Grass, Montana. I have six boys, ages 26, twins who are 19, 15, 14, and 4. I became interested in MPA when I began to have issues with the school system and the police department in Butte. Then I met Janet, and she was a big inspiration to me when I felt like giving up. Having an organization to back me up with issues regarding people in authority made a difference. As time went on, I got involved in lobbying in Helena and volunteering on other campaigns such as the Get Out the Vote work during the elections of 2006, and the Racial Profiling Bill. I am really excited to be part of the team and I've met some awesome MPA/IPA members through these campaigns.
